Reborn Identity – Healing Through the Holy Spirit
Reborn Identity – Healing Through the Holy Spirit
Theme
Discover how the Holy Spirit leads us to healing, renewal, and a reborn identity in Christ.
Story
For years, I struggled with feelings of worthlessness and shame after experiencing sexual abuse. I believed the lies that I was dirty, broken, and unworthy of love. These false beliefs were reinforced by societal expectations that emphasized purity and perfection. I allowed others to define me, and as a result, I lost sight of who God created me to be.
In 2004, I made the decision to return to Christ after years of being away from Him. At first, I didn’t know where to begin because I felt so distant from God. But through the leading of the Holy Spirit, I began to experience healing and transformation. The Spirit softened my heart and renewed my mind, helping me release the pain of my past and embrace a new identity rooted in Christ.
This journey wasn’t easy—healing takes time and requires surrendering to God’s plan. But as I allowed the Holy Spirit to work in my life, I discovered freedom from shame and began to see myself as God sees me: loved, valued, and redeemed.
Bible Verse
