⚠️ A Christmas Message of Renewal and Hope
As we gather to celebrate this Christmas season, I want to share a message of hope and renewal for the coming year. Many of us face struggles, and some may even battle feelings of despair or self-harm. But there is hope and transformation available to all of us.
It was on July 19, 2005, that I began to see where God was leading me. After studying the scriptures, I understood the essence of true conversion—allowing God to transform us from who we once were. When I returned to God, I realized that only He could change my life and my way of thinking. I discovered a new identity—a "Re-Born Identity"—that cannot be faked or manipulated. Christ became my example, and through the Holy Spirit, I began to change.
The beauty of this transformation was that I wasn't even aware it was happening; others noticed it before I did. I found myself able to control my temper better and forgive those who wronged me without seeking revenge.
I believe that anyone who gives themselves to Christ can experience this "Re-Born Identity."
However, it's important not to conform to the behaviors of others but to live in Christ. If we have been hurt or abused, we might become bitter or resentful, distorting our perspective of God and life.
This Christmas, consider this: You are alive today because God has given you another day. If you've survived childhood traumas, you are a survivor who has beaten the odds.
Whether you face challenges like addiction, homelessness, or past traumas, remember that you have a choice—to remain in bitterness or embrace the transformative power of Jesus Christ.
He invites you to come as you are and promises to transform you into who you were meant to be.
If you're reading this message, you're an excellent candidate to invite God into your life and begin healing right now.
How Can You Begin To Heal and Live a Life of Purpose?
1. Seek Guidance from the Holy Spirit: Ask the Holy Spirit to lead you into a deep relationship with Christ. Read the Bible, His love letters to humanity, focusing on scriptures about His love and forgiveness.
2. Forgive Others: Make a list of those you need to forgive. Even if you cannot speak to them directly, pray for them and trust that God will handle these situations.
3. Forgive Yourself: Let go of past mistakes and understand that you are not responsible for things beyond your control.
4. Seek Support: As mentioned in my book *Awaken The Silence When Silence Isn’t Golden*, find a counselor who specializes in helping survivors.
5. Connect with Others: Join a group of survivors or start one at your church. Find a mentor who can support you during these times.
May this Christmas bring you peace and the courage to embrace a new beginning in the coming year. Remember, transformation is possible through faith and community support.
You are not alone on this journey.
