Focus: Surviving When Christians Hurt You Day 6 | September 6 Choosing to Let Your Light Shine Anyway

Choosing to Let Your Light Shine Anyway

Sometimes people who are threatened by your light will try to diminish it. Jesus said, “Let your light shine before others...” (Matthew 5:16) Even Saul could not dim the destiny on David; David’s faithfulness was his testimony. Peter urges us to “keep your conduct honorable... so that... they may see your good deeds and glorify God.” When others attack, keep shining—your testimony is God’s.

Bible Verses:

  • “Let your light shine before others...” (Matthew 5:16)

  • “Keep your conduct among the Gentiles honorable...” (1 Peter 2:12)

  • “No weapon formed against you shall prosper...” (Isaiah 54:17)

Call to Action:
Consciously choose an act of goodness or kindness today, even toward those who have hurt you. Shine with integrity regardless of circumstance.

3 Things to Remember:

  • Your light is from God; no one can put it out.

  • Honor in adversity reveals true character.

  • God uses your faithfulness as a witness.
