Focus: Boxing With My Shadows Day 9 | August 13
Resentment is a shadow that quietly steals our peace. Jesus teaches that unresolved anger leads to spiritual danger: “But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.” (Matthew 6:15) Paul urges the church: “Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry.” (Ephesians 4:26) The story of Stephen, forgiving his persecutors even as they stoned him (Acts 7:59–60), shows that forgiveness is supernatural and life-giving. When you choose release, you break the cycle and find God’s peace.
Bible Verses:
“But if you do not forgive others… your Father will not forgive your sins.” (Matthew 6:15)
“Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry.” (Ephesians 4:26)
“Lord, do not hold this sin against them.” (Acts 7:60)
Call to Action:
Before bed tonight, release any lingering resentment or anger. Ask God for grace to forgive as you have been forgiven.
3 Things to Remember:
Unforgiveness blocks God’s peace.
Anger left unchecked leads to spiritual danger.
Forgiving is freeing for your soul.
