Unforgiveness grows roots of bitterness, affecting every part of life. Hebrews warns: “See to it that no root of bitterness grows up to cause trouble and defile many.” (Hebrews 12:15) Joseph was betrayed by his brothers but chose forgiveness, which brought restoration and blessing (Genesis 45:4–15). The act of letting go not only heals you, but also frees those around you to experience God’s peace.
