Focus: Boxing With My Shadows Day 6 | August 10
Holding on to anger or betrayal makes us prisoners of yesterday. Instead, Scripture urges us to let go: “Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger…be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” (Ephesians 4:31–32) Jesus’ own disciples betrayed and denied Him, yet He offered them grace and restoration (John 21:15–17). You aren’t defined by those who wronged you, or by what you’ve done; forgiveness is the path God calls you to walk.
Bible Verses:
“Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger…forgiving each other.” (Ephesians 4:31–32)
“Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, ‘Do you love me?’ He said, ‘Lord, you know all things…’” (John 21:17)
“The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.” (Psalm 103:8)
Call to Action:
Ask God to search your heart for lingering anger. Choose to confess it, and pray for compassion to replace it.
3 Things to Remember:
Anger is a heavy burden to carry.
Restoration is possible after any betrayal.
God’s love outlasts every wound.
