Focus: Boxing With My Shadows Day 19 | August 23

Anxiety casts a heavy shadow on our minds. Scripture assures us: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition…present your requests to God.” (Philippians 4:6) Jesus told us not to worry about tomorrow (Matthew 6:34), and Peter encourages us to cast every anxiety on God because He cares (1 Peter 5:7). Releasing anxiety through prayer invites God's peace and settles our hearts.

Bible Verses:

“Do not be anxious about anything…” (Philippians 4:6)

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow…” (Matthew 6:34)

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7)

Call to Action:

Spend five minutes in quiet prayer, placing each anxious thought in God’s hands. Ask Him for peace and perspective.

3 Things to Remember:

Prayer exchanges anxiety for peace.

God cares for every worry you carry.

Each day is a gift—focus on the present.
