Temptation is a shadow many battle inwardly. James reminds us: “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7) Jesus conquered temptation in the wilderness (Matthew 4:1–11), showing victory is possible. Paul says God provides a way out of every temptation (1 Corinthians 10:13). When you face your temptations honestly and bring them into the light, God empowers you to overcome.
