Disappointment can shadow our spirit, making it hard to hope again. The Psalms teach honesty in pain: “Why, my soul, are you downcast? Put your hope in God…” (Psalm 42:5) Even Jesus endured disappointment from friends, yet pressed on (Matthew 26:40). Paul writes, “Hope does not disappoint us…” (Romans 5:5). In God’s hands, disappointment is transformed into new hope and resilience.
