Focus: Boxing With My Shadows Day 10 | August 14
Sometimes shadows come from words spoken—by ourselves or others. Proverbs says: “The tongue has the power of life and death.” (Proverbs 18:21) When words wound us, healing comes as we lay those memories before God, asking Him to speak truth over the lies. Jesus showed compassion in speech and used words to heal (Mark 5:34), ending shame and fear. Release harsh words in prayer and allow God’s loving truth to reshape your self-image.
Bible Verses:
“The tongue has the power of life and death.” (Proverbs 18:21)
“Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.” (Mark 5:34)
“Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth…” (Ephesians 4:29)
Call to Action:
Recall a painful word and surrender it to God. Replace it with a biblical truth, speaking life over yourself and others.
3 Things to Remember:
Words can hurt, but God’s truth heals.
Speaking life counters shame and fear.
What you say can transform relationships.
