Personal Story
Many survivors try to forgive on their own, but lasting freedom only comes when the Holy Spirit softens the heart. After years of pain, I asked God to test whether I had truly forgiven. Each encounter with an old abuser proved my release wasn’t my own doing-it was the Spirit at work. Forgiveness became the soil for my new identity in Christ, a reflection of His mercy within me. In this journey, I discovered that wisdom-God’s voice calling for understanding and righteousness-was guiding me every step, just as Proverbs 8 promises to those who seek her
Relevance Today
The enemy wants to define you by your wounds, but the Spirit shapes you by grace and forgiveness, making you new in Christ.
Proverbs 8 teaches that wisdom is more precious than silver or gold, and those who find her find life and favor from the Lord. When you let wisdom and forgiveness guide your heart, you step into your true, Spirit-given identity-no longer defined by past hurts, but by God’s enduring love and purpose.
