Proverbs 27 Sharpened by Others: The Gift of Godly Relationships

Sharpened by Others: The Gift of Godly Relationships
Story:
I used to think I could grow in faith on my own, but God showed me the power of community. Proverbs 27:17 says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” God uses friendships, mentors, and even challenging relationships to refine us.
The Holy Spirit often works through others to encourage, challenge, and inspire us. Sometimes sharpening is gentle; other times, it’s uncomfortable. But every encounter is an opportunity for growth. Surround yourself with people who point you to Christ, and be that person for someone else.
Bible Verse:
Call to Action:
Thank God for those who help you grow. Reach out to someone who encourages your faith, or be that encourager for someone else today.
Things to Remember:
Growth happens in community, not isolation.
God uses others to refine us.
Honest, loving relationships are vital for spiritual growth.
Be open to correction and encouragement.
Sharpen others as you are being sharpened.
