Proverbs 11 The Broken Picture Frame – Seeing Life Through the Holy Spirit

Theme

How the Holy Spirit helps us see our lives through Christ’s love, even when our “picture frame” is cracked. Proverbs 11 teaches that integrity, humility, and trust in God lead to restoration and beauty, even in brokenness.

Personal Story
Life often feels like a moving picture, but for many of us, the frame is broken-cracked by pain, rejection, or trauma. Growing up, I wondered why I wasn’t loved, why my life seemed to lack the beauty I saw in others. My attempts to fix my life’s picture frame only made things worse. I tried to heal in my own strength, but the cracks deepened.

It wasn’t until I learned to “be still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10) that things changed. The Holy Spirit began to whisper peace into my soul, urging me to stop striving and simply trust. When I finally let go, I saw the masterpiece God was creating-even with the cracks. Proverbs 11:2 reminds us, “When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.” God’s wisdom and love shine through our humility and surrender, even in brokenness.

Relevance Today
Many try to fix their lives alone, but true healing and clarity come only through the Holy Spirit’s gentle guidance. Proverbs 11 highlights that integrity, humility, and trust in God bring restoration and joy-even when life feels fractured.
