Satan’s Strategy – Twisting God’s Word
Satan’s Strategy – Twisting God’s Word
Theme: How the enemy distorts Scripture to lead believers into discouragement.
Story: Satan’s oldest trick is to take God’s Word and just twist it. Eve heard God’s commands clearly—but the serpent sowed doubt, “Did God really say?” Years later, the same tactic was used on Jesus, but Christ’s response was to counter every temptation with “It is written.”
Today, the enemy still whispers, “Your sins are too great—there’s no more grace left for you.” He wields verses like Hebrews 10:26 as weapons to keep us captive in guilt. But the Bible, read in its fullness, is clear: “for all have sinned…and are justified freely by His grace” (Romans 3:23-24).

Relevance Today: The enemy knows the Bible—so must you. Knowing Scripture in context exposes lies and frees you from guilt.
Bible Verses:
Genesis 3:1-6; Matthew 4:1-11; Hebrews 10:26; Romans 3:23-24; Micah 7:19
Call to Action: Study Scripture deeply, not just in snippets
- When accused, respond with the truth of God’s promises
- Ask the Holy Spirit for discernment
Things to Remember: Satan twists truth for harm, but God’s Word brings life. God’s forgiveness always outweighs accusation
