Protecting Your Light from Spiritual Interceptors

Protecting Your Light from Spiritual Interceptors

Just as interceptors in Mark 2:4-5 tried to block access to Jesus, spiritual interceptors often attempt to block or dim the light God has placed within us. These interceptors can be external forces like criticism or internal struggles like self-doubt. Protecting your light requires intentional effort and spiritual discipline.

How to Protect Your Light

1. Visualize an Energy Shield: Imagine God’s presence surrounding you like an impenetrable shield of peace and protection (Psalm 91:4). This mental exercise can help you stay grounded when faced with negativity.

2. Pray for Strength: Prayer is your most powerful weapon against spiritual warfare. Ask God daily for the strength to shine brightly despite challenges.

3. Stay Connected to Christ: Like a lamp connected to its power source, your light depends on staying close to Jesus through prayer, worship, and studying His Word.

The Role of Faithful Interceptors

In Mark 2:4-5, the paralyzed man’s friends acted as faithful interceptors—they cut through the roof to bring him closer to Jesus. Similarly, surround yourself with people who act as faithful interceptors for your light:

- Friends who encourage you when life feels overwhelming.
- Mentors who guide you back to God when distractions arise.
- A church community that supports your spiritual growth.

By staying rooted in Christ and surrounding yourself with faithful interceptors, you can protect your light from being dimmed.
