Day 4:
Joseph - Finding Purpose in Pain

Joseph: Finding Purpose in Pain
For many of us, grief stems from painful experiences—betrayal, loss, or injustice. Joseph’s story is a powerful example of how God can transform even the deepest pain into purpose.

Sold into slavery by his own brothers Genesis 37, Joseph endured years of suffering and separation from his family. Yet he remained faithful to God.

When Joseph finally reunited with his brothers years later as a powerful leader in Egypt, he forgave them and said:
"You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done—the saving of many lives" Genesis 50:20.
Joseph’s journey teaches us that even when life feels unfair or overwhelming, God has a greater plan for our lives. As you step into this New Year, trust that your grief can be transformed into growth and purpose through God’s grace.

Reflection Question: What painful experience might God be using to develop your character?
