A Christmas Message of Healing and Freedom in Christ
Merry Christmas!
As we celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, let us also rejoice in the hope, healing, and freedom He brings. This season is a reminder of the great news that strongholds—those negative forces that keep us in bondage—can be broken. However, this is not something we can achieve on our own. We need the guidance of the Holy Spirit to draw closer to our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus. He is our Master Healer, and His desire is for each of us to be truly free.
Sadly, many churches today view themselves as hospitals rather than wellness centers. While hospitals are necessary for urgent care, they are not meant to be permanent places of residence. Imagine staying in a hospital for 1, 5, 10, or even 20 years. The cost—financially, emotionally, and spiritually—would be unbearable. Would you stay indefinitely, or would you walk away? Unfortunately, some churches have become like spiritual hospices where people linger in brokenness without hope of healing. This cannot continue.
Why do so many sit in church pews week after week, still burdened by bitterness, pain, and unresolved wounds? Could it be because we’ve accepted a mindset that healing is unattainable? But here’s the good news: through Christ Jesus, healing is not only possible—it is promised!
The Bible declares in 2 Corinthians 10:4:
“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.”
Spiritual warfare is real, and the enemy works tirelessly to keep us bound by fear, unforgiveness, and despair. But Christ came to set us free! When He heals us, we become living testimonies of His power and grace. Strongholds should not define our lives or keep us in perpetual spiritual sickness. Instead, they should be torn down by the mighty hand of God so that we can walk in freedom and joy.
I know this personally because I once carried my own burdens—an unforgiving heart and a wounded spirit. I was deeply hurt by members of the church and allowed bitterness to grow like a cancer within me. For years, I struggled alone until I finally left the church altogether. But leaving didn’t heal me; it only deepened my pain. It wasn’t until I surrendered everything to Christ that He began to heal my heart and tear down my strongholds.
This Christmas season, don’t waste another moment away from Christ. He came into this world to bring healing and salvation to all who seek Him.
If you find yourself in a church where you feel stuck or spiritually stagnant, ask the Holy Spirit to guide you to a place where you can experience true healing—a church that functions as a wellness center where love abounds and wounds are treated with care.
Jesus is waiting for you with open arms. He wants to heal your past hurts and break every chain that holds you back. This Christmas, give Him your heart completely and experience the freedom only He can provide.
May this season fill your heart with hope, peace, and the joy of knowing that through Christ Jesus, you can be free indeed!
Merry Christmas and God bless you!
