The Power of Choice

Heart over logic! Life is a journey filled with choices, some small and others life-altering. As we navigate this path, we often encounter moments of darkness that threaten to overwhelm us. However, it's in these very moments that we have the opportunity to choose light. Choosing light for some is illogical because it's a matter of the heart

The Power of Choice
Every day, we're faced with decisions that shape our lives. From the mundane to the monumental, our choices define who we are and who we become.
Who we can become after abuse and how we live, whether choosing to live a life with purpose or a life of self-pity, lies in who we desire to follow. Jesus can set you free. John 8:36 states, "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed," but you have to choose, and here lies the amazing power of choice or choosing the enemy of Light.

It is not logical to the world to follow Christ, but rather illogical; however, when we exercise the power of choice to accept Jesus into our heart and seek Him daily with spiritual eyes on Him, we will be engulfed with light.
"The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light." Matthew 6:22. It's easy to feel trapped by circumstances, especially when we've experienced trauma or abuse. But even in our darkest hours, we possess an incredible gift: the power to choose.

Choosing Light
Choosing light doesn't mean ignoring our pain or pretending everything is fine. Instead, it means acknowledging our struggles while actively seeking healing and growth. It's about making the conscious decision to:

- Seek support from others
- Embrace self-compassion
- Cultivate hope for the future

Remember, healing is a journey, not a destination. By choosing to take that first step towards light, we open ourselves to the possibility of transformation and renewal.

A Promise of Hope
In times of darkness, it's crucial to hold onto hope. As the Bible reminds us in Jeremiah 29:11, there are plans to give us hope and a future. This promise isn't just empty words; it's an invitation to trust in something greater than ourselves and to believe that our lives can be filled with light, even after experiencing profound darkness.

By choosing light, we don't erase our past, but we do reclaim our power to shape our future.

Each day presents a new opportunity to step into the light and embrace the healing and growth that await us. Be free indeed through the Son so that your light may shine ever so brightly!
